Why Are They Going?

Let’s look at the work the Haiti180 ministry does, and the reasons Emarc and Alex are getting involved.

Lifting Children Up

Most Haitian children live in extreme poverty. Haiti180 works to turn this around by providing an orphanage and high quality school for almost 400 future leaders.

Building the Community

Haiti180 doesn’t just minister to children, but has also established a home for the elderly and a modern medical clinic. This clinic serves 60 patients per day who would otherwise have no health care.

A Changed Life

These missions don’t just make an impact on Haitians. Emarc is returning because his first trip "had a life-changing impact" on him.

Smiles All Around

Joy is growing in these communities as the people experience God’s love in concrete ways. These Mission trips allow Americans like Alex and Emarc—and you!—to join in that joy.

I was born in Haiti, but grew up in America. My first trip back was with my best friend John Paul, who invited me because I was from Haiti. I'm going back because of the life-changing impact that mission trip had on me. It’s an experience I want to share with my friend Alex as well, and with all of you. We’re going to be super-grateful for any help you can give to Haiti180.

About Our Mission

Here is what Haiti180 has to say about their work:

At our core, the mission of Haiti180 is to create the opportunity to form well educated leaders of faith for the future of Haiti and to make sure every child in our care has a childhood that is filled with love and joy. With your love, support, and prayer, we have been blessed with the opportunity to broaden our focus, reaching out to the poorest of the poor from the young to the old professing God’s love through our developments in education, medical care, housing, and so much more for the kind and loving people of Haiti. We are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and together, we can turn it around.
